ALMOST LIKE PRAYING {MUSIC VIDEO}

In the wake of Hurricane Maria, Lin-Manuel Miranda recorded this single -- the profits of which went to disaster relief in Puerto Rico. To support the effort we created this music video, and raised several thousand dollars through facebook views.
Our "Maria" (wearing a white dress and red sash in homage to West Side Story) is played by Evita Roman-Torres. At the time of filming she had only been able to speak to her mother in Puerto Rico every 4 days due to lack of power on the island.
The ensemble of dancers are all amateurs who volunteered their time for the cause. We filmed the video in one day. It went from concept to final product in a week.
